Pitching STAFF...Yes Staff...(I say that because it's been a painfully long time since that title could be used...)

Plus defense only gave up 2 runs in 37 innings of play !!! (ASU game went 9)

Impressive start for A&M. I didn't think the pitching would be this elite early in the season. If this continues, A&M will be a national seed. The offense does have some room for improvement though.

The offense is worrisome, actually. I'm really hoping they turn a corner soon because they're going to need to be able to score if they want to chase a national seed.

The last thing I thought I'd be concerned about is the offense.

But... great start, and right now Coach Dill is looking like a fantastic hire.

The win over Florida State was huge because afterward, FSU went on to beat #9 Arizona, #4 UCLA, and due to "drop dead time", had to settle for a tie with Michigan.
