The unis remind me of the Diamondbacks when they bust out black uniforms. Very clean!

Actually, A&Ms official colors are Aggie Maroon and Cool Gray. We have several other colors, but those are the main two. Every school uses white in their uniforms and logos as well.

They were at the small shop inside Olsen. On a rack inside the window but behind the wall, so you sort of had to lean in to see them.

The Barnes and noble at the MSC has a few of the black hats

Only other things needed - a maroon jersey with white lettering, and "Texas Aggies". That's all you need.

I dislike the black trend personally. Not a fan of the camo either. Can live with pinstripes.

Are the camo's in semi-regular rotation? TCU always has a camo on Veteran's Day, Green on St. Patrick's and Pink on Mother's day (Susan G Komen game... blech) but those only show up for that day.

While I love and buy a lot of "Texas Aggies" merchandise, I have to concede that Cook is 100% spot on on this one. In terms of brand recognition, we are Texas A&M and we are now on a national stage. I would LOVE to push Texas Aggies nationally. It's what all the "A&Ms" were known as back in the day. The Oklahoma Aggies for instance (now Oklahoma State). But today most under the age of 60 won't recognize or realize that. When it comes to marketing your brand, you want what is short and to the point AND relevant to this era. While Texas Aggies should always be available in some form to the fan, what we offer the country is the current and most recognizable brand that we have, that being Texas A&M. It would just take too much time to re-educate the public about us being "the Texas Aggies". When trying to increase brand awareness, that is just wasted time when you already have a brand most know us by.

Doesn't bother me because I'm not a Gamecock. Not a fan of the Aggies black uniforms, as with a couple other of the new A&M unis, but I am an old so what do I know.

The black unis are for sweep games

If we are going to sweep someone, we'll break out the black unis...it's a new fad for college baseball in the last 5 years or so.

If that is the case then I want to see them often.
