I have a hard time being really upset about this loss. It's unfortunate, but their starter pitched a fantastic game and you have to give him credit. We tried to get back into it, but just couldn't overcome their pitching. Have to go back and get one tomorrow.

Was anybody at the game or watching it on video? Was curious about the double play opportunity when the hawgs scored their second run. Was it just too tough or turned too slowly?

Hit too slow to Allemand, they didn't have a great shot at the runner headed to first.

The ball was hit too slowly to turn two. I didn't think we ever had a chance to get both outs.

That's what I had assumed but was just curious. I know that we took the loss but I do see improvement. I feel like this team has finally realized that they can compete with anyone and that they should never give up! Mengden seems to have gotten his confidence back and has gotten back to the pitcher we all knew he was! I feel like our starting pitchers are very competitive but when they are off the hole they leave us in is usually too deep to crawl out of. The bullpen scares me. Mainly the back end of it. Sure wish we had a "closer." Our offense can go through droughts as well, though it seems 1 hit can be very contagious. I've said it before, and still believe, this team can be really good! Unfortunately, I don't see them being talented enough to win if they have an "off" game. Glad to see they're heating up right before post season play though! Bounce back tomorrow and then rake them in the 3rd game!

We looked like a team that had been off for five days the first six innings. Silver lining is that having their closer throw 32 pitches probably rules him out as the Sunday starter. We are in good position to do what we've done the last two weeks and win the series despite losing on Friday

Have to win the next 2.we can do it, but we have to stop falling behind each series like this.

Why didn't Kent pitch instead of Minter? Kent has been pitching well lately. I think we could have won it in the tenth.
