In addition to these, the 2008 comeback in the rain against Mizzou was a good one. The Sunday game was good too.

I'm partial to the '98 game in Waco because it's the most memorable game I've played in at any level. By memorable I mean all of the details are fuzzy because it was so incredible.
Some of you may remember how Steve Smith rolled the dice by throwing their lefty on Friday night (Bergman?), and saved Jason Jennings and Kip Wells for Saturday and Sunday respectively. We weren't exactly dominant against right handers with good breaking stuff so we were given a jolt by that decision. On Friday night, we had a good lead as mentioned, and then a storm nearly took our tarp and several members of Leo's crew out in to Wellborn road. During the delay we had no doubt we were going to Waco up 1-0.
Saturday is mostly a blur but after Schesh gave us the lead with a clutch hit off of the batters eye the Ags in the stands went out of their minds. To this day, John and I affectionately refer to that game as the "cage match". I want to meet they guy who was halfway up the backstop. He's known in my head as Spider-Man. We thought that rickety shack was coming to the ground that night.
I've caught thousands of sliders from Casey but he had a few more revolutions on each one that day. The last pitch of that game was likely still spinning in my glove when I got to the dog pile. I was at the bottom of the pile and caught another glimpse of rabid Ags doing unsavory things to Baylor property. It was beautiful. Dog piling on their field is my most vivid memory of 1998.
The next day, I remember almost feeling sorry for them when they rolled Kip Wells out there for a meaningless game. Ok, not really. All I remember about that day was telling myself to hit the one in the middle

It was a Saturday in 1989......not Sunday. We played a Friday night game and a dbl header on Saturday back then.
quote:Usually, it was a single game Friday night, followed by a 7/9 doubleheader on Saturday, but, ESPN wanted a game for their Sunday night weekly college baseball broadcast, so it was scheduled to be single games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It rained Saturday, so a day/night doubleheader (instead of the usual 7/9 doubleheader) was schedule for Sunday, April 16, 1989.
