changing subjects...did anyone notice a little irony in the Sherman firing as compared to MJ's firing back in 2005?

obviously the AD didn't want to fire Sherman and disapproved of the leak and the way it was done...seemed like things may have come full circle. Karma or the athletic department got a taste of its own 2005-style medicine

I'm not familiar with the 2005 incident. Somebody wanna clue me in?

And I still haven't found out the story regarding Sherman... just everyone's reaction to it.

And I still haven't found out the story regarding Sherman

Sherman met with Regent Wilson on Thursday afternoon to clarify his situation. Regent Wilson assured him that he was still coach. Sherman left CS to go do his in-home with our top recruit. While Sherman was on the road, someone leaked to Kirk Bohls that Sherman was going to be fired, but that Sherman was unaware. When Sherman was almost to the his recruit's house, he got a call from Bill Byrne letting him know that he had been relieved of his duties. The call from Byrne to Sherman took place after Kirk Bohls posted that Sherman was to be fired on Twitter.

in 2005, Byrne was waiting at Olsen for the bus to arrive from a road game. As MJ stepped off of the Bus, he was informed that he had just coached his last A&M game.
