Just tried to order season tickets to Olsen through the 12th Man and was told that they cannot accept orders at this time because they do not have a seating chart. Amazing to me that they cannot accept orders at this time. I understand they cannot promise you a certain seat. Just amazes me that they would turn away the chance to get a seat sold right now.

I'm certain there will be a lot of flux this year. Renewals have not even been sent out yet so it is not even certain what seats will be available and in what sections, combined with the construction that leaves a lot of uncertainty. I guess they could take the order if you are not particular where you might end up.

hummm....I don't get why they don't do what they did with the Women's Basketball team after the national championship. They asked people to put down a deposit for season tickets.

I wouldn't like it if I was the OP because I would want first choice before other people who will come along after I did. I'm not saying he should go before last years season ticket holders but he should go before anyone between now and the season starting.

They can't even tell me if my seats even exist anymore - not the most reassuring of conversations.

pretty sure we went thru this whole ocnversation during last spring..only 2 sections were effected by the construction..those that are season tickers holders in those sections have already received notice.
other season ticket holders will be able to renew same seats or seats in the same general area as what they had at Olsen.

I will be a new season ticket holder as I have not had season tickets since like 2001.

I have no real expectations about where my seat is, and just trying to get down on the lower level. If I cannot do that because of the people renewing their season tickets and because people reserved tickets before me than that is perfectly understandable.

My issue is that I cannot even give them the money today to reserve a seat. Sounds like they have absolutely no clue how many seats will be available. Comes off as amateurish to me.

How could they until they know about renewals? I'm certain the whole thing is in flux this year with certain sections behind the plate now needing a donation. Heck in the past renewals were not even sent out until after Christmas, more recently renewals were due right around Christmas. I guess they could have taken a deposit with no assurance where your seat may be located.

I suspect the progress of construction is a factor as well. November is too early to commit to 40 games at Olsen

They assured me that construction was going to be finished for the first game. Nit that I really believe them but....

If they don't know how many renewals they are going to have they can always just take a deposit or take the full amount of a season ticket with the promise that I will get a seat in the stadium.

season tickets usually go out around or right after Thanksgiving; they will give the current season ticket holders first rights, then fulfill new season ticket requests, then they will do single game tickets, multi-game packages, etc.

Seating configuration is still in flux. Once the chart is set in stone, they'll seat those of us whose seats have been taken, and only afterwards seat new folks. This order makes sense but I agree that it's surprising they are not taking orders and noting that seat selection will come later...

selk - That makes me laugh. Please go to the construction thread and post that. I bet Capt Dan will put that rumor to bed. He is one of the people from the University System that is there everyday to make sure it stays on schedule. He has been very forthcoming with information.

I heard something similar from the Fish Pond maintainer. Uncanny!

information came from one of the guys high up in the athletic dept. at the womens basketball game Sunday. He said they would be ablet to tell more in the next 2 weeks, but it wasn't looking good.

It WILL be ready for opening day. Maybe not 100% finished, but it will be open. My job may depend on it.

Final seating is being approved by TDLR. Once they are satisfied, athletics can upload into their ticketing system.

Glad to hear that renewals have not been sent or that my section won't be affected (at least not badly???).

Looking forward to receiving the renewal letter.

Anybody know if Section 103 is changed??

I talked to Mike Clement today who said they walked through with Skanska (sp?) and assistant AD and They will be completed enough for people to come to the game.

This is just about the only good thing that has come from minimal rain in the area.
