Jungmann wins the Dick Howser trophy for National POY...

Couldn't think of a more deserving player in the entire country to win this award. Certainly not a pitcher. And definitely no one in the Big-12.

He'll be able to place this one right next to his Big-12 POY trophy from this year. Wait? What?

He didn't deserve it. We faced better pitchers in Gilmartin and the starter from S. Carolina.

Heck...If I had a vote it would be fore UCLA's Trevor Bauer with his 1.25 ERA, 36 walks, 203 strikeouts and 13-2 record which are all better then Jungmann's.

The NPOY award is given out by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers which have consistently had the sips ranked higher than any one else in the country. They have also awarded the trophy to longhorns 5 times in 25 years. I think the are a little biased towards the whorns if you ask me.

Of course, EVERYONE is biased towards the Longhorns. Which is odd when you think about how much more everyone likes the Aggies...

I guess only aggies deserve awards.

wow, can't give it to Jungmann after his postseason collapse. He was at his worst when it mattered the most.

he was great this year, but not POY great. Agree that his postseason collapse would mean he was not deserving.

Never did I state, or even suggest, that an A&M player should have won the award over him. As referenced by another poster, there is a decent list of players AND pitchers specifically that are probably more deserving of National POY.

The irony that he couldn't win Big-12 POY, but could win National POY is just humorous, no matter where your allegiance lies...and the similarities with him and Colt are just downright amusing.

Not claiming an anti-A&M OR pro-Texas media bias, but some of this **** is just downright hilarious.

He didn't win Big 12 POY because he won Big 12 Pitcher of the Year...

They have a pitcher of the year award so they can give POY award to a positional player. Its always been like that.

^^^ Nice try rook. The big 12 has never awarded the POY award to a pitcher because it has an award for pitcher of the year. That is a fact. POY award always goes to a position player, not a pitcher.

Bauer was robbed. All of his numbers were far better than TJ's
