I think Mitch nau from Klein will be the starting catcher or maybe even 3b the kids a stud. Saw him play at consol in the playoffs this past year against stony point. He's stocky but filled out. I think he may already be better than stein. Hitting machine. As far as smith and Stilson goes, I think smith goes and stilton stays to try and improve his stock. Smith goes because Brodie stayed and had an amazing year and only got around 100k if I remember right and it'll be hard for smith to beat brodies sr year. That's something I imagine he's thought about as an example. Stilson I think comes back because he has a legit chance to move up the boards and more money because the injury scared off a lot of people. If he comes back and proves he's good. Immediate top 15 pick.

Here's what I found regarding our recruits and the draft:

Chance Bolcerek - Undrafted

Jason Jester - Undrafted

Matthew Kent - Undrafted

Cole Lankford - Undrafted

Daniel Mengden - Undrafted

Mitchell Nau - Undrafted

Corey Ray - Undrafted

Mikey Reynolds - 30th Rd, Pick 905 - Orioles

Ty Schlottmann - Undrafted

Gandy Stubblefield - Rd 14, Pick 435 - Astros

Dillon Thomas - Rd 4, Pick 138 - Rockies

I think Dillon is the only one that we aren't going to see in the Maroon and White due to the draft. Too bad, the kid looked like a stud.

ultimately the best news...the 2012 team (after the CWS) will not be gutted like the 2000 team (after the 99 CWS) when the Ags lost their entire weekend starting rotation plus 5 all-conference players at 1B, SS, 3B, CF, and C

If you're paying 3:1, then I'll take the other side of the proposition. If Stilson doesn't regain his form after the injury or requires surgery, it is in his best interest to be on the payroll when it happens.

Good posts on the Labrum injury. It looks like we just dont know enough about how serious it is. The problem though is that if its serious enough, Toronto is going to really low ball him.

If its not that serious, then I stand by what I originally posted. Guaranteed 200k vs better than 50% shot at 1-1.5 mil. I wonder if somebody like Lloyds insures college pitchers, that might be worth looking into. I know Leinert's family took out a policy on him.

I'm getting all giddy about these guys (new and old) already.

I really just wish everyone of the players the best, and that they can make up their minds with whatever their best interests are first and foremost.
