Article on Loux & Stilson by Perfect Game

Without Stilson, we'd really be moaning abou that the fact that Loux still hasn't figured out how to get batters out without trying to strike them out. He will have to figure that out if he wants to succeed at the next level. However, with Stilson, and especially if we get Hales back healthy by the end of the year, there probably won't be much pressure on Loux to go deeper in games.

Love our pitching staff this year! People will not want to face us in a 3 game series if our pitching continues like this...

Loux's stock has to be rising

Loux seemed much more economical tonight...It felt like his 7th inning was like 6-7 pitches.

Other than a 20 pitch 3rd (?) inning, it was a really economical outing by Barret's standards. Nice that Stilson only had to throw 16 or so pitches, too.

Loux was much better tonight. He threw 101 pitches in 7 innings tonight. He averaged just under 15 an inning, but you also factor in he faced a batter in the 8th and didn't get an out.

I believe 3.88 pitchers oer batter (I think he faced 26 Tigers)
