You used to have a really good view of Kyle Field from Olsen. Those facilities past the right field wall were only recently put there. The smaller one is an indoor practice field for football and the larger one is an indoor track stadium. It hosted the Big 12 and NCAA championships last year.

The building behind the left field fence is the Student Rec Center.

I really wasn't wild about them last night but I'm starting to like the second of the two because the clouds are both sweeping and ominous... almost like an illustration of the game.

Man, I haven't been in Olsen for eons. Raggin' Aggies - we used to sit on the first row behind the first base dugout and friendly-rag the other team (and make friends with them as well). The view with the practice/track facilities on the right past the tracks, and the rec building in center left are totally different.

Win or lose, I always loved a day out in Olsen, especially when the crowds were smaller. That place might be the principal reason for my TexAgs handle.

We used to sit on the right field bleachers and heckle the hell outta the opposing team's fielder/players warming up.

Met a long time girlfriend out there when a foul ball was headed towards us and instead of catching it, I let it drop right on her thigh.

I witnessed the single greatest shot ever in Olsen. At the time there were a bunch of gulls flying around A&M (not sure why but I think it was hurricane related - Alicia perhaps). Anyway, one day, two buds and I were sitting in Olsen front row behind the 1st base dugout. A bunch of gulls flew over and someone shouted "don't startle the birds!"

Evidently he startled the birds, cuz one dropped a bomb, hit me on the bill of my hat, bounced off and hit the friend next to me on the knee, then deflecting to my other friend, landing on his shoe.
