We tried benching him and our defense was awful. With him playing SS, our defense is the best in the league. Its not like he is hitting .200. He has like 8 home runs and is hitting over .250. Not great, but not bad enough that we should sacrifice his defense.

His defense doesn't help us when we need a bunt put down at a key part of the game and he can't do it.
I'm not saying bench him from the start, but if we need a bunt then get someone else in there. He has shown he can't do it, and his team needs him to be able to do his job.
