My son is doing a project at school about aggie traditions what are somethings that the do at an aggie baseball game

train engine count- when the fans hear the train a comin, they hold up X number of fingers to guess how many engines are on the approaching train.

reload after strike out- after the Ags strike out an opposing player, the theme song from "The Rifleman" plays...half way through students stand up and reload their guns

Ball count- when an opposing pitcher throws 4 straight balls to walk a batter, the count begins. Students start slowly chanting BAAAAAAAALL 5....BAAAAAAALL 5...for each consecutive ball, the count goes up. I have heard it reach 14.

when they play the Charge song on the PA system, instead of yelling CHARGE the fans yell the name of the opposing pitcher
(they only do this when the opposing team is pitching)

also yelling the opposing pitcher's name throughout the entire game is common

jk - the best traditions involve one person making a fool of themselves while participating. Sadly for airplane, it will stop there.

Okay guys - since we've only been to a few ballgames, what exactly is airplane? Guess we've been missing out!

There's this one fat guy in section 103 who asks for random, obscure events to happen in the course of a game (Ben Feltner going yard, calling random HRs on exact pitches, 8 run inning, stealing home, double squeeze, 1-2-3 double play, etc). When he gets what he asks for, he rewards/punishes those sitting around him by extending his arms like an airplane and running on the dugout.

Thankfully, said fat guy isn't real shy and is often excited to make a fool of himself.

/\ yep, its just not real common... I would expect someone calling DPs to say 4-6-3... a lot more common.

I have always hated every person to have sat in the front row of my section and have heckled them accordingly.

It takes a real man to hide within the crowd.

The previous statement partially excludes Stat Boy, I heckled him, but I don't hate him... he provides a practical purpose.
