You're not wrong. The SEC is stacked with programs that are tough, disciplined, and honestly... just too dang respectable. It's like trying to start a blood feud at a church picnic.
Back in the day, we didn't have to look far for a good ol' fashioned hate week. You could hear the snide jabs from Austin all year long, and the buildup to that game felt like gearing up for war.
Now? We've got awesome atmospheres and incredible games, but the emotional fire, the generational spite that's harder to find.
LSU comes close sometimes. Bama has the pedigree. Ole Miss and State fans are fun in their own way...
But you're right... it's not the same when nobody's out there actively trying to disrespect Reveille or mock the 12th Man without expecting consequences.
That said... give it time. Rivalries are born in moments.
Let us break Georgia's playoff hopes with a blocked punt, or beat Bama in back-to-back years, and watch what happens. The hate will come naturally. It's just gotta be earned.
But yeah, maybe we are mellowing.
Or maybe, just maybe, we're saving all that venom for when the sips come crawling back.
