The woman killed in a Friday fireworks explosion at Palo Duro Canyon State Park has been identified as Peyton Trueblood, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Shortly before 6 p.m., Randall County Sheriff's deputies responded to the call at the Pioneer Amphitheatre. The explosion occurred in two storage facilities in which fireworks for the musical "Texas" were stored.
Trueblood, a stage manager for the production, was taking inventory at the time of the explosion, Deputy Danny Alexander said.
The explosion sparked small grass fires in the area that firefighters extinguished.
The cause of the explosion has not been determined at this time. The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident.
Friday night's performance of "Texas" was canceled, but the show will resume tonight.
