Any suggestions from the guys who made the trip in 2012? What are their staples in town like the Chicken, Layne's, or La Bodega? Any good place to check out the Ole Miss/Bama game in town after ours??? Thanks.

Go to the Veranda, very good food/beer and it's a guaranty that Jackie Sherrill will be there.

Burgers & Blues

I live in College Station now but did my graduate work at MSU. For the money and atmosphere, go to Oby's. It is a few miles away from the stadium (not necessarily a bad thing), but the food is really good and there are tvs in every room. You get draft beer in the huge goblets that look like a goldfish bowl. Not a bad place to watch the game if you didn't get a ticket. For a nicer place close to the stadium, go to Harvey's. If you want a seat, go very, very early. I recommend the ribeye sandwich. Very highly recommended. Other than that, walk around the five points area just north of the stadium. No matter who you are, someone will feed you.
