I am moving into a new house and just found out that Uverse won't service the house for whatever reason (Right in the middle of the heights in Houston.)

I know that Dish will be carrying the SEC network, but I don't really care for them.. what is the general consensus on other carriers picking up the network?

I got dish and have been pleasantly surprised. The Hopper is awesome and Dish Anywhere is pretty sweet too.

I have Dish and the difference in quality is not huge if that's what you're concerned with. I much prefer DirecTV because of controls and such, so I understand where you're coming from, but I wouldn't avoid Dish if DirecTV decides not to carry SECN.

Those using AT&T, U-verse, Cox, Dish and Googlefiber will have the SEC Network when it launches Aug. 14.

If your provider won't have it, go to getsecnetwork.com and put in a request.

You can't get Uverse in the middle of the Heights? I've had Uverse in both of my houses in the Heights and I think all of my Heights friends have it too.
