Game Wrap up & Preview

Well…that sucked. Last week, our then-#12 Ranked Fightin' Texas Aggies were outscored 34-10 by the Bayou Bengals of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, in Baton Rouge. The friendly confines of Tiger Stadium were not so friendly, after all.

This week our BCS-#21 Ranked Fightin’ Texas Aggies visit the 5th largest city in Missouri and the friendly confines of Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium, to play the 3rd Tigers team of the season, and former Big XII foe, the #5-Ranked Tigers of the University of Missouri.

This is the Aggies 5th visit to the “Athens of Missouri”, and the 14th overall contest between the two teams. The Ags currently hold an 8-5 record against the “Show Me” Staters. A win over the Ags would put Hello Kitty in the SEC Championship game, allowing them to play for their first Conference Championship since they won the Big Eight…in 1969. The Fightin’ Texas Aggies intend to keep that from happening and toss cold water of the Mound Kitties season.

The Aggies are averaging 552.6 yards of total offense, with 187.5 yards rushing, 365.1 yards passing, and 45.6 points per game. The 10-1 Fighting Pinkels are coming off a 24-10 victory over a ranked Ole Miss squad and are averaging 491.9 yards of total offense, with 238.0 yards rushing, 253.9 yards passing, and 39.7 points per game.
