How does a player like that get over looked by us?

there were likely other players with better measurables available at the time. Mizzou has put a lot of players in the NFL that they developed extensively in their program, in particular on defense.

Who says he was overlooked? I have no idea.

But I do know that we only just started winning recruiting battles within the last year or so...

tcu didnt offer. oSu didnt offer. UH was the only TX program to offer. Iowa State was the only other B12 offer. The only other decent program to offer was Arizona St.

He was a Rivals 2*. They usually dont start for decent programs. Every once in a while, one works out. Either Pinkel is a brilliant scout/developer, or they got lucky.

Probably the same reason we didn't recruit weatherspoon who ended up a first round pick from Texas... Mizzou has done well with overlooked Texas kids that fit their program
