A&M is my favorite but that's a "road" trip to my home school.

Within the rest of the SEC:

1. Auburn
2. Bama
3. Tennessee
4. Georgia
5. Ole Miss
6. Arky
7. S. Carolina
8. Lsu
9. Florida

Well, I wanted to wait until I had at least one experience at each school to chime in. I've gone to several games that were not Aggie games in the SEC, as well as Aggie games and here is my list. I'll admit, some of my opinions stem from my experience as a non-partisan spectator.

1. Auburn
2. South Carolina
3. Vandy
4. Kentucky
5. Ole Miss
6. Georgia
7. Mss State
8. Tenn
9. Alabama
10. Arkansas
11. Missouri
12. Florida
13. LSU (frankly if there was a lower number than 13...LSU would get it!)

Let me say that I've been at an Auburn game several times and have always been treated well. Pretty campus, good food, fine folks and you can never get lost.

I've also been to LSU several times (as an Aggie, rooting for another team they were playing and as a non-interested party) and never been treated good. If you don't wear purple and gold, you might as well resign yourself to the fact that you will be yelled at virtually from the time anyone spots you until you fade into the distance leaving the place.

Visited the following venues the past two years and would rank them like so:

Auburn - nice town, great campus and tailgating, friendly folks. The town is the school and vice versa. Great Stadium environment and the numerous gates made for very easy entry/exit. We waited until just before game time and waited in a very short line to get in.

Arky - first time there since SWC baseball in 1982. Very impressed with Dickson street. Great restaurant/bar seen Ags were out in full force Friday night. Tailgating suffered due to rain but it's obvious that Walmart and Tyson have pumped tons of money into the campus and facilities, which were very nice. I especially wanted to do this trip since it will be 10 years before we go back. That's a real shame.

Bama - great tailgating, nice campus, folks were nice but a little more sip like in their attitudes. Think they expected to drill us, and didn't work out so well. Pretty nice strip/bar scene as well. Great stadium atmosphere Although not a real fan of pumped in noise and music (a common ordeal in SEC stadiums)

Ole Miss - the Grove was nice and something to see but it's hard to fathom not being able to fire up a pit, grill, or smoker as part of your tailgate. Hiding your beverage seems quite odd as well. They put up hundreds of 10x10 EZ ups in the grove that literally touch each other. Probably why no cooking is allowed. The whole 5 acres or whatever would burn to a crisp in an instant if a fire started. Group of Ags which had as guests Dr. Bowtie, RC Slocum, Eric Hyman and Cooper Manning had a huge industrial size tent with gigantic center pieces, open bar, and Chefs flown in from H-town. You know how we do everything bigger in Texas....the Ole Miss faithful were like what the hell...what are those aggies thing they're doing, we need to change the rules for tent sizes....it was pretty damn funny...rain made this a bit more sloppy but overall a great experience in and out of the stadium. Didn't hit the square as we stayed in Birmingham so no report there. This is something I'd obviously like to do next time.

LSU - great tailgating and friendlier folks than I was expecting. A lot more to Baton Rouge than just LSU and didn't hit Tigertown bars so it's hard to compare the bar scene to others mentioned. The rain, wind and cold weather were major factors here. I'm sure would move up the list if not for this. Again pumped in noise and music inside the stadium not for me. It's like cheating.

In the 90's Bobby Bowden made a comment to an ABC commentator to how bad the Swamp was as a game day experience. I know, rival and such. The list by the LSU fan made me laugh about Florida fans wanting to fight the LSU fans, hard to believe when nearly each fan base feels that way, but the Swamp is at the top of the list nonetheless.

This. If you constantly feel the need to do this throughout the game - you will not make the top of my gameday experience list.

You guys giving LSU#2fan a hard time should have just ignored his post. He didn't say much that was unreasonable, and clearly the vast majority of SEC visitors don't agree with him regarding A&M gameday and the Kyle Field experience.

I know it was insulting, but don't wrestle in the mud with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Besides, I don't think anyone reading this thread would say 'well you showed him'.

The rib and I went to the LSU game in BR this year. Other than our performance, the loss, and the cold rainy weather, we had a blast. We were treated exceedingly well by almost every single LSU fan we talked to. We were offered food and booze. We liked their pre-game stuff too. We only had one time where someone yelled 'tiger bait', and they laughed afterwards and gave us a couple of tequila shots.

I will say we only had one negative experience, but it wasn't directed at us personally. Our seats were 2 rows behind the Aggie bench, and one very drunk guy was shouting an obscenity laced homosexually oriented stream of insults about what he wanted to do to our boy's anal orifices. It didn't last long, as the ushers threw the guy out, and the LSU fans around us were pretty embarrassed. We chalked it up to the one in every crowd rule.

Maybe it's who you go with, and I'm not doubting anybody else's word or experience, but we had a blast. Can't wait for 2015, except we're hoping we get a W. Jeez, could we have stunk it up any worse?

I'm really looking forward to that day when A&M plays at Tennessee. The game day experience at Neyland and 'The Strip' is amazing.

I was at Bama game in CS this year. Incredible day. Having been to all the SEC venues in my 60 years, I will say that A&M puts on quite a show! My family had a great time. Beauty of SEC is the passion of the fanbase for football. Honestly, not a bad venue anywhere in the SEC.

Small contributions: Our daughter was raised in an Aggie houshold, and is an alum of USAFA. Stationed in Columbus, MS, she went to the A&M Mississippi State game in 2012 and A&M/Ole Miss in 2013. She preferred Ole Miss, said the fans were a lot nicer, which surprised me.

Also have an Aggie classmate who works at MS State. She says it feels like the A&M we attended 40 years ago. Much smaller and quieter than the Aggieland of today.
