Where will it be?

I know you all like to get together on the road and do this. I have a few places in mind that might be good for you.

There's a small ampitheater on Dickson Street, adjacent to the Walton Arts Center called the Rose Garden. Its always open. If someone talked to the folks at WAC, they might even allow you to plug in your mics.

Another option is the Gardens on campus, but its not as fun as having it right in the middle of Dickson Street might be.

This title is a little confusing. Fayettenam is the nickname for Fayetteville, NC. The name came about thanks to the hundreds of thousands of soldiers and airmen rotating through Ft.Bragg during the Vietnam war. The city became a **** hole of strip clubs and violence.

As a frequent visitor of Fayetteville, AR and a former resident of Fayetteville, NC, I can tell you that the two are completely different.

Fayettenam is used sarcastically, in reference to the hippie population still fighting the power, and the fact that Fayetteville, Ark is nice, instead of a ****ty military town.

Spent a number of years in Fayetteville, NC. That city is a festering dump.

Sorry, just had to share. Whenever anyone says "Fayettenam," I think of NC.

Well, I don't think anyone has put Fayetteville AR and NC (national championship) in the same sentence in a while, especially during football season.

Everybody knows where the "Nam" reference really refers to. For some reason people have been jokingly calling Fayetteville that for at least 30 years, as a sarcastic play on the other one.

Its better than the more recent moniker, Fayettechill.

I prefer the old name, before we got all corporate and gentrified. Fedvul.

Here's the contact info. Like I said in the OP, that amphitheater is always open from Dickson. You can just walk in there any given night. Seats 150, but standing you could probably put at least 300 in there.

I just try to steer visitors to the Dickson area because thats where everybody goes anyway. It would be dumb if you guys had your get together at some corporate hotel in Springdale or Benton County.
