It’s Football Season, boys and girls. Finally, the long, arduous off-season is over. After a summer of inconsequential distractions, along with a great big one, Coach Sumlin and his team can answer Bocephus’ question and affirm that they are indeed ready for some football.
This week, our #6-ranked Fightin’ Texas Aggies host the unranked Owls of William Marsh Rice University. The Feisty Night-birds slink into the Hate Barn to renew an old Southwest Conference Rivalry. Our Aggies hold a 50-27-2 record over our Eggheaded brothers from Houston, dating back to 1914, and a 15 game winning streak in the series, winning by an average of 22 points. Johnny Football, Clay “Hollywood” Honeycutt and the Boys look to extend the streak over the Fightin’ Bailiffs, and increase that average significantly.
