Could this be the last year at Vandy for James Franklin?

I think most would agree he is a sought after, young coach due to the success he's had a Vanderbilt. So far he hasn't seemed ready to move on. However, with the scandal surrounding some of his (now former) players could he be getting ready to move?

Consider this: Vanderbilt's athletic department is funded directly by the academic side of the university and is not a separate entity. Vanderbilt holds it's reputation in high regard and if that reputation is threatened, will they decrease the financial support given to athletics? If so, I would have to believe Franklin is going elsewhere.

If Franklin's smart, he'll move on after this season. They're a 7-win team at best, and Tennessee won't be down forever. Ole Miss, the cross-division team, is on the way up. Jordan Rodgers and Zac Stacy are gone.

I think there'll be vacancies at both Vandy and Mizzou after the season. Possibly State, but I think Mullen gets another year unless they totally melt down.

At this point, I wonder what this season will do for Franklin's stock
