Gundy is STILL pissed - he wanted to play "The Little Sisters of the Poor", in Stillwater, in the opener. (That's a very old joke for you younger folks.)

I think Gundy is scared of MSU. It Okie State loses, I predict he will go ballistic on his AD.

MSU didn't show anything last season that would convince me they can win that game.

OSU wins by a couple of scores.

I'll be rooting for the Cowbells, but yeah, unless OSU turns the ball over a few times, I don't think MSU wins. I think MSU finishes last in the West this season.

Rooting for the dawgs....but think OSU will take it.

The MSU QB gets a lot of hype, and I have no idea why. He'd be one of the 3 worst QB's in a good QB conference like the Big 12. MSU has a solid defense and secondary, so that's probably their main chance. It's hard to see them keeping pace though.

I really think OK State takes 'em, but I'm gonna be rooting like hell for the Bulldogs. Same for LSU against TCU, and Ole Miss vs. t.u.

I'll be pulling for MSU too, but I think Okie Lite blows them out. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Gundy is publicly whining about having to play us, and Coach Mullen is using it as a tremendous opportunity to jump-start our season. We always do best as an under-dog. I love it that everyone and their dog is writing us off. Perfect scenario.

I am not optimistic about MSU winning this game. Mullen will not have the defense conditioned for Gundy's offense and I expect to see exactly what I saw last year when you played us and that is guys out of position and winded with hands on hips.

Russell our qb is inconsistent at best. he will usually have a good drive or two but then we go a few 3 and outs or will throw inceptions like he did against Northwestern in our bowl game.

We lost our experienced receivers and really don't have anyone that has stepped up. Defensively we lost our best backs and for the replacements to step up and stop OSU's offense is going to be a huge challenge.

As for Mullen he has yet to prove he can win one against anyone with a pulse and I expect this to continue. This is his 5th year and all I have seen is this program hovering and not making additional progress. Personally, I think he is highly over rated and until he actually gets some wins against teams like OSU or one of the SEC's top teams I will not be a believer.

As for our season I think the best outcome would be 5-7 and that will be grasping. Our fan base seems happy with him so the mediocrity will continue.

Three straight bowl games and 3-1 against ole piss for Mullen. I think this year's team will be his best. Both OL and DL will be the best in his tenure. I think you are way off base about writing these Dawgs off.

Well, if 3-1 against a really bad Ole Miss(trending up as the season progressed last year) team is what you are using as a measuring stick of success then you aren't looking at the big picture.

Last years wins against Arkansas, Kentucky, Auburn & Tennessee were against really horrible teams and we struggled with pretty much all of them. Any time we played someone with a pulse we got humiliated. Our defense last year looked like a Big 12 defense it was absolutely horrid.

Please tell me what big accomplishments Mullen has made at State!! 8 wins is now considered the standard playing four cupcakes with usually two of them playing us competitively. Wins over Kentucky & Ole Miss the past few years I guess signals we have arrived.

Who do you see us actually beating this year that has a pulse? LSU, maybe? I think Clinton was President the last time we beat them. Do you really think our team is prepared for these OSU type offenses? I sure as hell don't. I can guarantee you will see a defense that has not been conditioned when we play this game. Mullen has had a year to prepare and I don't think I will be shocked at what I see from him. Just another poorly prepared team that will struggle to stay on the field with most of the teams on our schedule.

A lot of us are think Mullen has done a decent job but it is time for him to get over the hump. The OSU game could be that game for him but I wouldn't count on him getting it done. But so glad I will still get the Mullen motivational tweets and inspirational Bible verses.

Chris Wilson is gone, which was the Cancer of the Defense last year, Melvin Smith is gone, who needed to go with the new offenses we are facing. Enter David Turner and Deshea Townsend...and a proven solid DC in Geoff Collins...the D will take on his personality, which will be a drastic improvement over last years. Sitting at 7-0 last year, I was disappointed in how we finished as well. But if you think you can clean up the mess that Croom left behind, and build a Championship Level team in 2 or 3 years at State, I want what you are smoking. This is Mullen's 5th season, and this is the year that we should start beating teams we "aren't supposed to". We have more QUALITY depth this year across the board than we have since the Jackie Wayne hay days in the late 90's. I am sure you have read all the pre-season gurus who are picking us to finish last in the SEC West...and honestly I'm really happy that everyone is writing us off...perfect scenario for a "surprise" year for the Dawgs. I'll be at Reliant and clanging my bell and I won't be surprised if we whip Okie Lite by 2 TD's. But you can keep your pity party going if you want. I see things differently.

I honestly would like to see it through your eyes but I just can't see it panning out like that. If you are right I will gladly eat a huge plate of crow. Remember your predictions from last year? Remember mine?

Beating OSU by 2 touchdowns? Just can't picture Russell throwing that many touchdowns in a game. I would not be surprised to see an awful lot of Dak Prescott against OSU because I don't believe Russell will be productive enough.

Again, I do hope your scenario plays out but unfortunately I am not as optimistic. If Mullen goes 5-7 what do you think should be done if anything?

MSU is good people. I started following Dan Mullen on twitter and he genuinely seems like a good guy. I'm 100% behind MSU on this game.

Couldn't get my daughter to matriculate in Aggieland. However, I got the second best thing. Same colors. Same general culture in Starkvegas.
