I'm going to Orange Beach, Alabama in August. I'm thinking of posting up with an A&M flag on the beach. I really just want to see how many people come up and talk to me. Going with the kids and wife so hopefully nobody will try to start a fight.

Don't know that the Bama education is necessarily worth all that much in the workforce, either. Daughter graduated HS this past spring and Bama was ALL OVER her to enroll there. Offered basically a full academic ride...wife and I calculated it at over $108K worth of scholarships, grants, etc. Also accepted into the Petr. Engrg. Dept at TAMU. However, Aggies gave ZERO $$$. So, she is happily enrolling at CO School of Mines, with our son - who is already there. We were even strongly advised by a very good friend, and Bama grad (about 1984 grad), to not go there. He said look out for the long term of our kids and go somewhere where they will have a job after graduation....kind of ironic, but funny. He has been employed by one of the "bigs" in Houston in oil and gas for almost 30 years, but says it was kind of a fluke that as a Bama grad he was hired.

It's usually the ones that wear the jersey you have to look out for.

Bama is a 3 part system

UAT = basic school
UAB = med school
UAH = tech school

While saying an Alabama education is no good is a bit misleading as if you look at all 3 parts combined the degree can be pretty good. Several top academic schools combine all the data and some lesser academic schools split it apart. If Baylor added back in their Houston medical facilities their academic profile would be raised greatly but it would be a false reading as it would mean a degree from Waco would be inflated. I actually think Bama was doing it the right way even tho it hurts UAT.

Anyone who wins NCs has to deal with the t shirt fans that follow. Most bammers that I know, that have a sheepskin, are pretty cool. The "others", not so much....

Was in Orange Beach last summer and wore Aggie gear. Talked to all sorts of SEC fans and all were fun to talk to. You will enjoy. They are not like the Big 12 minus 2 trash talking classless asses from Austin, Lubbock and Wacko.
Be sure and go to the Flobama just inside the Florida Border. Fun Place.

Wonder how it went for BowlinAg? I would imagine the "A&M treatment" might be a little different nowadays vs. the "harmless little brother" attitude/reactions I heard about a lot last year.
