i am not a drunk LSU fan. i have a degree and am a senior vice president for a new york company. AND, i respect a&m's traditions and am glad y'all are in the SEC. i look forward to renewing our annual game. lastly, i know enough aggie fans to know that they are no different than LSU fans; some are class folks and some are trash. and i'm betting i know tons of more LSU fans than you do. also, there are lots of college football teams that have fantastic traditions and every one of them think their's are special. and i agree with them.

Not saying script ohio should be near the top of the list but with all the fanfare surrounding that point of the show and how pumped the stadium gets, it is pretty impressive. I would put it on the level of "Now forming at the north end of Kyle Field" or the block T at the end. It is a huge honor in Columbus to dot the I in front of a packed 'Shoe.

I wouldn't, considering non aggies rarely know about "now forming..." But almost all college football know about the dotted i... I still think ours is better though and I agree with your overall point

Once again, replying to a bunch of posts due to the stupid post limit:

Drunk Working class huh? I know plenty of Aggies who work for LSU grads and vice versa. To call an entire fanbase "drunk working class" is incredibly naive and disrespectful. LSU fans include a very wide variety of people from the rich to the working class. A&M fans on the other hand are made up of people who were part of the dork group in high school, but falsely convinced themselves that they were popular.

I have a degree from LSU, as does the majority of my family, but I do know people who grew up LSU fans and didn't go there. They remain very big fans of the school. I know you guys call them "t shirt" fans. When a University has a popular and successful major sports program, people are going to pull for that team all over the state and the country for that matter. I have no problem with people that didn't attend LSU pulling for the University I attended.

If Texas A&M can sustain a quality program for a while (which they haven't been able to do in a long time), they will probably have fans that didn't go to the school. Most people that don't go there though, probably don't want to be associated with the weird traditions.

Tiger Stadium is nicer than Kyle Field. If you don't agree, you are lying to yourself.

I started this thread to point out the top 25 traditions which include an A&M tradition and an LSU tradition.

To say A&M girls are better looking than LSU girls is extremely laughable. It proves that you have never been to a game at LSU. I went to A&M this past season. It was the plainest looking group of girls I have ever seen.

Personally I think the LSU band's pregame performance should have been listed instead of night games, but I am happy to see LSU represented in yet another list.

You started this thread to troll and bait Aggie fans. You found the one list that put LSU ahead of A&M on a list of traditions, and ran to an Aggie message board to try and get the exact responses you're getting. And now you're trying to play innocent. GTFO...

And you know good and well you could ask 100 different people about who has the better tradition and 90+ would say A&M. Does Tiger Stadium have an awesome atmosphere? Absolutely it does. But I fail to understand what makes a night game a tradition... Midnight Yell, The 12th Man, even the Yell Leaders, are all unique traditions.

Don't post that crap and then act like we're the classless ones, when you knew exactly what you were doing.

And Tiger Stadium is a cool stadium but mainly because of the rowdiness of the fans. It, like Kyle Field is an old dump, saying its nicer than Kyle isn't saying much... But it's not. But tell you what. Come back in 3 years and talk about who has the nicer stadium then.

If you haven't been to a night game in Death Valley, then you haven't experienced college football at it's pinnacle. I have been to Kyle Field and wasn't that impressed.

The Grove is way overrated. It was incredibly disappointing. Ole Miss girls are way better looking than A&M girls though.

And all LSU fans are inbred. Especially the bigger ones.

Dumb list. #1 and #2 are not traditions, nor is #10 or #12, or #25.

Just dumb.

I appreciate Michigan's M club sign, script Ohio, war eagle, chief Osceola, Howard's rock, and countless others, time of day is nothing special.

"I" is capitalized in English sentences. So are the first words of English sentences.

Also, paragraphs and punctuation help your readers better understand what you are trying to say.

Sr. VP huh? New York huh? Degree from LSU huh?

Sure. I believe you.

By the way, my brother is the biggest t-shirt fan in the history of LSU football. There's no talking sense to these mouth breathers. They take pride in the way their fans act in that stadium on a Sat night. Just let that sink in. That behavior is not only accepted, it's celebrated.

You can't have an intelligent conversation with someone about the difference between a tradition and a time of day when that's where they are coming from.

Little perspective fellas. It's like arguing with a tree...but with less personality.

I've been to LSU with the band and would like to ask OP if pelting opponents with whiskey bottles and hot dogs while chanting "heil Hitler Gomer Pyle" are traditions for all opponents or if they're reserved for the Aggie Band?

At least you guys recognized and gave us a standing O...it was all in good fun...we came to realize that tossing trash and insults is how you Astrodome residents show love. By the way, your rent is overdue.

I started this thread because it is a top traditions list and both LSU (the school I graduated from) and A&M (the school for which this message board was created) were both in the top 5. I did not expect the classless responses from Aggies that I have seen. Sounds like I should have though.

I think 90+ people would say that A&M has more traditions, but not necessarily better. LSU has the h style goal posts, a live tiger going around the field before the game, the band's pregame 4 corner salute, white jerseys at home, etc... A&M has their fair share of traditions, but I don't believe most would say that male cheerleaders, practicing yells, swaying back & forth, etc... are all better. Some would for sure, but to say 90 out of 100 is complete homerism.

Corn dog jokes huh? Hilarious. Glad you guys can come up with some original material.

Your brother is a mouth breather? Sounds like you have a trashy family.

Any stories of getting hit with whiskey bottle and p*&^ bombs are completely false. People say that to try and create a negative attitude towards LSU fans. Nice try. Not sure that I get the Astrodome comment. I went there back in the day, but not sure what that has to do with LSU fans. Also, when you played in the band, did you guys play boring music the entire game that puts people to sleep like the Aggie band does now?

biggerlsu,

How many times do you have to say that you think LSU's traditions are better than Texas A&M's? Good. Write an article about it, put it on the web and you can add it to your OP as 'evidence' that LSU's traditions are better. Again, arguing that your opinion is better than anyone else's opinion is laughable...

No sir...you're in denial...I was there...we were pelted...they were small glass containers and they looked like the bottles you get from airliners to me...some memories fade so maybe the containers didn't actually have whiskey in them at one point(not that that detail matters) I guarantee we were pelted...and I guarantee you we got hitler salutes and heil hitler gomer pyle. Sorry if that doesn't jive with your self image.

And I also guarantee you that we got a standing ovation from your fans so some of your ilk didn't seem to mind. That's when I realized that the taunting was just in jest. The funny part was watching you guys file out to get more hot dogs and beverages when your high school hairy band came out.

I've been to a night game at LSU. Lots of drunks. Not better than a Kyle night in any form.

And Ole Miss women better looking than TAMU women? See my profile pic. I beg to differ.

How in the world is Touchdown Jesus a football tradition? I get that it's pretty cool, but its a mural on the side of a building. It's there all year. If the football stadium was demolished and moved, the mural would still be there. That's like saying the mountains outside of BYU's stadium are a football tradition.
VanZandt92
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Don't bring up BYU in a best college football tradition conversation. That's like bringing up Styx when talking about greatest rock bands.
