This team has some serious offensive issues. It has manifested itself in prior games versus weaker opposition where it was much easier to overcome.

Pacific is OK but this is a disapointing loss. Mostly because my expectations were getting carried away over the first 10 wins.

I expect this team to compete, play tough defense and not score alot. That will still win us some Big XII games, especially considering how weak the conference is this year, but it won't get us to the NCAAs.

The question is what will it take to increase our scoring output? Is there anyone on the current roster that can change that or will it take experience/talent coming in next year?

You need to feed the ball to JJ more than what we did this game. He is the big man in the paint and we need to ride him more. Cannot make a living shooting from the outside.

One thing I have noticed that drives me crazy is our lack of penetration. We had AW to cut to the basket last year and open up looks for the others. Acie needs to step us this year. If you've watched this year, when he penetrates, good things happen. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

i agree that our biggest problem is we don't have a guy that can get to the basket. last year when aw was able to pump fake and get to the rim and that opened up a lot of things for us. right now we're leaning hard on jj to draw double teams and kick out for three pointers, which is great if we make shots but not so good if we can't because we've got nothing to fall back on. that being said, its only one game, it was against a decent team on the road, and we played a very poor game. i'm not too concerned.

we all knew coming into the year we were going to need additional penetration on the perimeter, most assumed via eddie smith.

this isn't happening and us relying solely on the two man game w/ law and jones isn't going to get us to .500 in conf.
