for those who will eventually be home, we need game insight. 77 points is an awful large amount for a school like commerce.

Supposedly TAMU-Commerce has a bunch of players back from a team that was a top-10 D-II team and apparently they are big time scoring team in D-II. Lots of good perimeter offensive players. They beat SFA 99-93 a few days ago.

Yeah but we also scored 110... without watching/hearing the game, it obviously was up tempo and we were up big. So I wouldn't read too much into the that.

Commerce also hit a bunch of shots very late in the game.

they have a ver quick team of all juniors and seniors who wre 28 - 5 last year and conference champs. they were hard to guard off the dribble and were good shooters even when guarded well. it was a good game for us in many ways.-jones is very special!!

Their guards were surprisingly good offensive players. #3 and #10 were very quick and hitting everything. We got lazy on defense sometimes, but other times we would play good defense and they would still drain some off balance contested shots. They had absolutely no size however. Jones dominated the whole game inside and got their only real big man in foul trouble. Then they had to start putting guys that were about 6-4 on him and AK and Pompey and they starting racking up the points.

we did implement the matador defense a few times tonight, but yes jones was an absolute beast inside...

that being said, this team was REALLY small, and its not likely we'll see another team all season lacking as much height as i saw tonight...hell, even eddie smith was pulling down some rebounds under the basket....

Louisville only beat BELLARMINE 70-63. Guess they are calling it quits.

It's an exhibition game; don't expect the same play as we had in the NIT.

Look on the bright side, Billy has another excuse to run our players to death in practice.
