Actually they called me (wink).
If, and it's still a complete if, we host an NIT game this week, there is already a lot of cool stuff in the works for the game. You will get an email tonight from Rob Stewart with some details, but basically we're hoping to maroon and white out Reed Arena by sections (the whole arena), and they are having shirts made for it that say "NIT" with the T replaced by our T-star.

If this does pan out, we're gonna need to get the word out to students and alums like never before and create a post-season atmosphere like we've never seen before (because the majority of us haven't).

Be looking for more info. Thanks for all the great times these last couple months, guys, let's finish this out and back our boys 100%

I'm 100% worried about student attendance. But I'll be there. We need to get the word out to Houston Ags, Dallas Ags, Austin Ags, anyone/everyone.

I'm going back to Arlington this afternoon, but I'm gonna try to make it back down here for at least one of the games. It's possible we may host 2 games, right?

Sounds like I'll be making the late night DFW round trip.

the first game will be probably... someone else would know better than myself... Tuesday or Wednesday of this week?? and the next games would be the beginning of next week. It's my understanding that the NIT people don't schedule games opposite NCAA games/times.

First round=monday-friday

Second round=saturday-monday

indeed. That seems odd. I'd rather have an early week game so that we're not competing with the NCAA's (that and as a HUGE college bball fan I want to sit in front of my TV for 12 hours and watch every game ever.)

I bet we play Wednesday night and Monday night.

I think the only way the NIT would schedule games at the same time as an NCAA game would be if there is a conflict with arena space. It wouldn't be for TV consideration, that's for sure.

Thankfully we shouldn't have the arena conflict with Reed...unless something like Disney on Ice is coming and I don't know about it.

Ok what I was told by the powers that be is that if they had to guess, they would expect the game to be on Tuesday. But that is nothing definite at all, we won't really find out until Sunday.

I am really trying to attend. During spring break is perfect for me.

Got the shirt designs emailed to me tonight, and they are pretty sweet. If somebody can host them and post them, give me your email address.

Also found out that Saturn is sponsoring the first 1000 student tickets, so if you pull early they are free. After that, they should be 4 bucks.

kinda funny how OU,Texas,LSU can afford to "buy " the shirts and put them on the seats for their fans to have but we gotta dish out $5 for em....Im not comlaining because it is only $5..just strange that other schools take care of the shirts for their fans

Tech does it a couple of times a year also. It's all about getting sponsors who will pay for it. I went to Tech's last game, and they alternated red, black and white shirts. They were pretty decent shirts, and O'Reily Auto Parts paid for them. Perhaps with renewed life in Aggie Basketball, we will have some sponsorship interest soon as well.

The shirts look awesome. I'm glad the people at the bookstore are stepping up. (I work there, and they called me at the end of last week to see if I could work if we host a game, and I said "if there's a game, I'm going."

I went to OU this year for the game and was impressed (and almost dumbfounded) at how much corporate sponsorship their team gets. During timeouts and such, their prizes for free throw contests and the like are more to the effect of "$100 from SBC communications" instead of "cinnastix" (not that I'm hating on cinnastix). Is Aggie Basketball headed in that direction?
