at just the right time? Wow what a week of basketball. I am beginning to think we have a decent shot to upset OSU and finish out the regular season with some real momentum.
decent shot to upset OSU? Ever been to Gallagher-Iba? (rhetorical questions... i know the answer to both.)
Im not ruling an upset of OSU, but its not going to be easy. OSU owns the longest home win streak in the Big XII (possibly the country, but its hard to look that up. or im lazy/drunk/cant type goodly.)
But back to the original post question - yes they are peaking/still going up. i cant remember ever having a 4 game conference winstreak (which is a possibility right now. ). 3 straight wins in the big XII is a good run for 8 or 9 of the 12 teams.
I kinda like these streak deals, BG seems to be good at upsetting the norm. No doubt it will be difficult, but I am not sure anyone would have bet we would take CU, ISU and TT by a 20 point avg. margin over the last 3 games.
If they play both halves the way they've been playing their second halves, then I will say they are peaking. They still have room to improve. [/BillyGillispie]
The game is about halftime adjustments. You don't play the two halves the same. The way you finish is what counts and the Ags are in better condition than the teams they are pulling away from at the end.
ISU and Mizzou both got within 10 at GI. Mizzou shot 38%, and ISU shot 50. OSU shot right at 50 in both games, so if we can shoot 50% and keep OSU from doing the same, we have a decent shot. We "held" them to 47% at Reed, and probably need them at 42% or below.
