We're two weeks away from the start of the season, which means we're a week away from the official predictions thread, so let's look back on the best and worst of last year's predictions:
Overall: Really good! Kind of took a different path than most of us predicted, but in the end, for a second year in a row the board was mostly in the ballpark of what to expect. Multiple people were dead on with the overall record and a bunch more were within one game. The majority of people picked us to just barely make the NCAA Tournament.
Records:
Regular season overall: 21-10
Dead on: TheDecadeSapling, BaytownAg13, MarcAg
+/- 1: bobinator, The Marksman, phatty26, Rec, Detective Jake Peralta
Conference: 11-7
Dead on: Rec
+/- 1: phatty26, MarcAg, PascalsWager
Postseason predictions: NCAA Tournament - 10 seed
Dead on: The Marksman, Detective Jake Peralta
+/- 1: bobinator, taylorswift13, BaytownAg13, Topher17, TheDecadeSapling (sort of, exact prediction was "higher than a 10 seed")
Conference champion: Florida
Called it: The Marksman, TheDecadeSapling, SECTAMU#1, caleblyn, PJYoung, bingram1230, phatty26, Detective Jake Peralta
National Champion: Michigan
Called it: nobody!
Honorable mention: The Marksman (UConn)
Do we break the school record for threes in a game? Which game? - Yes, Manhattan
Called it: nobody!
Does anyone break the single game threes record (8)? Yes, Ruben Dominguez (10)
Called it (though nobody predicted the exact game): bobinator, The Marksman, PascalsWager, taylorswift13, BaytownAg13, epozehl, Detective Jake Peralta, GrayMatter, MarcAg (half called it, also called that Isaacs would do it)
Who are our top three in points per game? Agee, Griffen, Hill (*technically Mgbako is third but only played 7 games, willing to count either Hill or Mgbako)
Nailed it: nobody!
Got 2/3: JJxvi (Griffen and Mgbako), GrayMatter (Agee and Hill, bonus points as only one to pick Agee), Detective Jake Peralta (Griffin and Mgbako), Phatty26 (Hill and Mgbako), Topher17 (Griffen and Mgbako), epozehl (Hill and Mgbako), BaytownAg13 (Mgbako and Griffen), taylorswift13 (Mgbako and Hill), The Marksman (Mgbako and Griffen), bobinator (Mgbako and Hill) - One more point per game from Pop and a lot of us would have been right here
Who leads in rebounds? - Agee
Nailed it: bobinator, The Marksman, TheDecadeSapling, BaytownAg13, epozehl, Topher17, Detective Jake Peralta
Yikes: Phatty26, MarcAg, taylorswift13 all picked Federiko
What will be our season high in turnovers forced against a Q1 or Q2 opponent? Against who? - 21, at LSU
Nailed it: nobody!
Honorable mention: The Marksman, epozehl, Topher17, (called home game against LSU), taylorswift13 (called UCF which was #6),
Best of the rest:
Therefore, it is this prediction, that his other predictions would be wildly inaccurate, that was itself wildly inaccurate.

Best of the rest:
- TheDecadeSapling: called we'd score 100 in 5 games and be on 120 pt watch at least once - we scored 100 six times (this was also called by The Marksman and taylorswift13) and hit 120 against MVSU
- taylorswift13: called Illinois as a dark horse team to win it all, they did make the Final Four
- BaytownAg13: called we'd be top 25 in assists, we were #15, also called we'd make the tournament and Maryland would not
- Detective Jake Peralta: called a win over Kentucky at home (actual prediction was Kentucky or Florida) and that we'd win an NCAA Tournament game
- Topher17: Called we'd average over 80 points a game and that Baylor would miss the NCAA Tournament
- MarcAg: called that Mgbako would not be among our top four scorers, also called we'd win and lose conference games by 25+, we beat South Carolina by 23 and lost to Florida by 19.
- PascalsWager was the most optimistic predictor, calling a 24-7 record and an Elite Eight appearance
- Several of us (myself, PJYoung, TheDecadeSapling) expected Dominguez to start slow and get hot late, the reality was closer to the opposite of that
- A lot of us thought Holloway was going to play a much bigger role than he did
- I predicted we'd lose a Q4 game but make up for it by beating a couple of ranked teams, we did not do either of those
- Taylorswift13 called that five SEC coaches would be fired or would retire, there was just one.
- MarcAg called that Ruben would create buzz around possible being a first rounder
Therefore, it is this prediction, that his other predictions would be wildly inaccurate, that was itself wildly inaccurate.
