I said it before, but even just bringing back some of the old chant type things we used to do when on offfense would be good. They're simple, but they keep people engaged and provide crowd interaction rather than just quietly watching us run our offense. Defensively I think the idea of the quick count and some other style of play related chants would be good, but can't say I have any ideas off the top of my head.
The FT distractions need a revamp too. They take too long right now to decide what to do and coordinate, where I swear a lot of the time the shooter already has the ball before the crowd even knows what is going on. We should have like 3 go to options, have quick and easy had signs for them (even easier than a traditional pass back) and just rotate them so generally everyone knows which one is getting used the next time someone gets fouled. Everyone knows the saw'em off, use that. Keep the silence and then jump scare, but get the timing right. Ditch the "brick, brick, brick."
I would also totally understand if they didn't want to, but I'd probably split the Rowdies up a bit. I think it would be useful to have a group of them on both ends to educate students who attend less, but also lead some of the easier stuff or general heckling. I think it was against OSU back in the day where everyone did the sirens when a player got the ball after he'd been arrested, but stuff like that could be more easily researched and led by the Rowdies rather than the yell leaders.
