It's flipped so much. When I was coaching basketball, I couldn't even give one of my players a ride anywhere or take them to dinner. Crazy, the rules then vs now. Now, they would be taking me to dinner in their Maserati.

"John Calipari reveals just how much money is flowing to players in college athletics right now. . Cal says nine of his Arkansas players make more than his assistant coaches, while the other three make more than his entire staff. And according to Calipari, Arkansas isn't even one of the highest-paying programs in college athletics. The amount of money in college sports has completely changed."

I'm a proponent of paying college athletes, but I'm not a fan of the way it's being done.

I don't get Calipari's rant really. Obviously most of the team is making more than his assistants. Nobody is buying tickets at Bud Walton to see Kenny Payne hold a clipboard.

Maybe the Louisville fans will buy tickets to heckle Kenny Payne!

Someone should ask him how much potential income those UMass, Memphis, and Kentucky players lost because there was no NIL at that time.

While he and his assistants made millions.

I'm sure all these student athletes are attending their classes and are very motivated to get their degrees.
