Yeah they're not gonna get Luis. I think they'll get most of the rest and be decent.

they only care about BB slightly more than we do anyway, but now i dont think they can afford to be good with what they are paying out in football and baseball.

I think they can afford to be good, they were just late to the game this year and Wade isn't as creative of a coach as Bucky is. Plus there were fewer portal players available this year because there's not as many covid players floating around out there.

Wade basically had the choice of a) absolutely suck and b) sign a bunch of guys that probably won't be eligible and hope for the best and if they're not eligible suck anyway.

With Altman retiring you have to think Wade has to be in the ear of some of these Oregon players.

Oregon was probably going to be extremely mid this year anyway.

Yeah but it's not like they can get them right now. Whoever LSU has enrolled is who they have at this point.

The Gov or AD whoever is running the show, went after Wade. These rulings let him play victim this year and LSU will see the season as a throw away year. Unless Lane team fades down the stretch, nobody will care about MBB.

Well then I stand corrected. I thought if a coach leaves the players can portal and are immediately eligible. I must be legit misunderstanding the rules at this point.

Edit: That must be why the LSU side was alluding to some super secret roster the other day.

I mean theoretically, yes, but the enrollment rules still apply. You can't just enroll at LSU in the middle of the semester, presumably. You also can't switch teams during the season.

I guess theoretically Wade could convince some players to withdraw from Oregon and enroll at LSU for the spring and they'd be eligible as soon as the fall semester is over but I don't see any benefit there for the players versus just sticking out the season at Oregon.

Is LSU a better job than NC State? I mean LSU has pitiful game day environment. I have always felt NC States isn't bad. And they actually love basketball at State. Was is that LSU has no values and will allow Wade to roll around in the mud.

I think they're pretty close. NC State has more history and is definitely a better basketball school, but LSU isn't dominated by two extremely successful and bitter rivals 10 miles down the road. Plus I think LSU pays much better and is in a better conference. LSU offers better chances at enticing players with NIL $.

LSU needed a steal at the end to beat UCF last night, 85-81, in Baton Rouge. LSU used a six-man rotation all night.

Consider the fact that UCF was screwing around with rotations, LSU played their rotation.

In the end, as expected, things mostly broke Wade's way and he's going to be fielding a competitive team. LSU should also challenge for an NCAA Tournament spot, but they are pretty thin if the injury bug gets them.
