Warren.

Or Rylan.

This team needs shooters.

Is Griffen returning a real possibility?

I'm not disagreeing with you(what team doesn't need shooters?) but I'm not really worried about this roster as constructed. It's no secret that last season, we were small, unathletic, and not very talented. This season, we're a lot bigger, much more athletic, and way more talented. As a result, I expect that we will score fewer of our points from beyond the arc. I think we're going to see a lot more points in the paint, and we have some really good slashers, which will allow for shots near the basket as well as kick-outs to open shooters. Additionally, I think we'll actually be a better 3 point shooting team this season than we were last season. We only shot 36.2% from 3 last season; I expect that we'll beat that number comfortably this season.
Obviously Warren's eligibility(or finding a replacement player for him if he's ineligible) is important though.

I just read that because of a recent fed judge ruling there is a path to another yr of eligibility for those that graduated hs in 2022 which he did. I don't think it's set in stone but there is a possibility. Even if he did get an extra yr there's no guarantee he'd use it here tho.

Marcus Hill has also applied for an extra yr because he played 2 JUCO seasons. No ruling issued yet. I believe Hill has publicly said he wants to stay here if he were to get another yr. Seems like they'd have to rule one way or another on all three before enrollment closes which is less than 2 weeks away.

I believe we still have an available roster spot even if Warren were ruled eligible

Warren is straight buckets. I hope he gets in. I don't care how he is in practice- if we can get him in games he will demand minutes.

This team needs bigger wings.

Shelley and Mgbako are not small altho maybe not big bodied . Walls I suppose is at 6 ft 5 but we've had some nice guys play a wing type role at 6 ft 5 . Dexter Dennis comes to mind.

I think if Griffen wants to play another year of college he can. I also expect that may be his most lucrative deal available in the upcoming year, particularly if Warren is also ineligible. I think maybe also, we would get first shot at him because part of this ruling seems to be that the transfer portal rules are still valid (meaning he is eligible to come back for us only until there is a portal window, although maybe that wouldn't apply for graduate status?)

Better athleticism and better penetration creates better shot opportunities from deep which makes okay shooters shoot better percentages. I think we'll be great at both this year. I'm stoked!

I'd take Griffen for sure but I'd much rather have a shot blocking big specifically for matching up against big teams . Doesn't need to be a big scorer , just a good defender who can't be pushed around and bullied . Josh Nebo style. I don't know if there are any eligible players that fit that description but if there are they'd be my first target for the open roster spot I think we have . Don't need a Federiko type (or at least last yrs version of Federiko ) just to check a box . Would prefer Griffen over that .

Perhaps Irving is the one to fill that role but I doubt it at this point . Just not strong enough yet would be my guess.

Maybe Evan Jacobsen is the guy?

Griffen is enrolled so I think he's filling the last roster spot unless something goes wrong in his injunction. If it goes down that way the Aggies are going to be very very deep at the guard spots and potentially going 10 deep for the Buckyball rotations . Going to be very interesting imo. Roster is significantly upgraded from last year but still at least 4 guys that were significant pieces last yr and 1 other that played a lot for Bucky at Samford . We're much bigger at the guard spots with more demonstrable scoring punch and somewhat bigger and deeper at the 4/5 spots. I suspect replacing Agee's impact will be more by committee than one guy playing permadawg
