It's obviously not going to happen at this juncture, but it cannot be worse than Federico. I'm not sure anything could be, honestly.

I just want to know how often he boxes-out. If he doesn't do that great and consistently, should get zero minutes. But maybe he boxes-out great.

Federiko reminds me of the coaches kid in youth sports that just doesn't want to be there, so hes just going through the motions. Its inexplicable just how ineffective hes been.

So are most 10th men in the SEC officiating world. Look at even Clemence. He gets a foul for stepping onto the court. That had better change.

It's crazy how lost Fed looks on the court most nights. This season he has generally shown zero feel on how to set a screen, get in position in the post to score, box out or defend. He looks like he's been playing basketball for 1-2 years.

Sad because we need a shot blocker/solid role player and he has past production to suggest he could be one.

This. Vinson has shown he's better than Federiko in pretty much every way.

The problem with McDermott imo is he can't play the wing type role on this team because he's not a shooter and he's not big enough or athletic enough to defend other team's bigs . He could perhaps eat some mins without being a negative from time to time.

McDermott was Houston Area High School basketball POY as a senior. He averaged close to 20 rebounds a game! Unless he is terrible defensively, his ability to get rebounds and loose balls may give us a few extra possessions and could make a difference.

Agree that he should get more game time.

And yes I can acknowledge that Bucky knows 100X more than I do and he thinks fed is better but he just is so awful he does nothing.

ZC gets called for some outrageous stuff.

Big man on the other team sets a moving screen that frees his guy, then climbs over our back making contact to get the rebound?

Cool.

ZC sneezes and his jersey brushed against an opposing player? Immediate foul.

He was a 4a level post player from what I can gather . 6 ft 7 works there if you have skills around the bucket . He was probably the biggest guy on the court for half of his hs games. Only works at SEC level if your'e very athletic. He's also long from waste to shoulder and doesn't look long armed. I'm afraid after 2 yrs of no PT from 2 different coaching staffs he just is what he is.

McDermott might get in there and be terrible. But I am kind of at the point, I would like to throw him into the deep water and see what happens. We are seeing other people be terrible, so what harm could it do to throw him in there for 3 minutes (and maybe he gets in there and we are like good God ok now we know why he wasnt on the court).

If you were going to do that the time was pre conference play . He got more mins in those games but it was mostly garbage time and not playing with what would be real SEC game player combos . In fairness to Bucky tho he was just trying to pull the team into a cohesive unit and figure out what he had at that point and also had to work Mgbako in off of injury.

Or the time to do it is when other guys aren't getting the job done and you are getting beaten inside, which has been a few times lately. Arkansas scored 52 pts in the paint last night`
