Yeah for sure. We all looked at this 5 game stretch and generally said 2-3 would be positive. Never fun to lose, but they're on track.
I was surprised at how ineffective the press was today. I thought that and the inability to stay in from of guys on the perimeter was the story (and surprise) of the game.

I believe. Against the better teams we don't have much room for error. We have to have guys step up.
The next 4-5 games will be VERY telling. We just played 3 games that, unfortunately, we were physically unable to compete from a roster standpoint, especially with regards to size and strength. But the next 3 weeks won't be nearly those same matchups. Can Bucky get these guys refocused and not let the last 3 games (especially the last 2) affect our attitude and play, or will we continue to be frustrated and uninspired at times when we are getting physically outmatched?
The real problem is we have a bunch of 3 star players trying very very hard. These top teams are playing with 4 and 5 star players. We are doing great considering the entire situation.
We are going to lose to most top teams. I am enjoying this season and anyone that knows basketball sees what additional talent we would need to be a top team.

I think its specifically a tall talent issue.

Agree - needed a healthy Mgbako the past 2 weeks. The fact that Fede has turned out to be a complete non-factor isn't helping (defensively).

Across the board. We're small everywhere, and the few places we aren't (like the wing) we aren't very athletic.
I've shifted from "maybe this team can make some real noise in the tourney" to "tourney team but first round coin flip".
Still above my expectations going into the season.

We are a intramural team.
I still think we can win some games, I just think against certain kinds of teams we have no answer on defense and on the boards so it's going to come down to how good we can be on the offensive end. We're basically starting in a hole and hoping we can overcome it with three point shooting.
But there's also plenty of types of teams we haven't really faced yet. I'm interested to see how we look against Arkansas and Kentucky because those are two teams that I think our style of play can really bother.

OU is bad and they took us to the wire at Reed.

Alabama and Tennessee are both good and we took them both to the wire in their houses.
Tough for me to forecast that as a second weekend team. Any matchup in the tourney will be a coinflip.

Okay I was reading "first round coin flip" as "50/50 we win the first game but that's it" not as "basically every game we play is a coinflip."
I definitely agree we could lose the first game just as easy as win it. Partially due to how we play and partially due to where we're going to fall on the seed list.
Some people are being a little dramatic about last night but it did probably seal our fate as at-best a 7 seed.

I agree we are likely at best a seven not because we lost but it appears that the obvious lack of height Is going to keep us from getting on a winning streak
Hell yea we've lost 3 conference games in the last minute or OT and one of them with an illegal player.
Bucky and this team are awesome we just have no margin for error as we are super small. Cant miss ft's and give em free buckets like last night.

We will be anywhere from 7-12 and will be a matchup no one wants in the first few rounds. Just my opinion we are hard to prepare for and in the SEC these teams are big and physical.

Oh man, I think 95%+ of this board agrees. Bucky has us in almost every game and we want to win them all. The frustration is mostly because we all want to win. A few key players here and there and we are a whole different team. Bucky ball is where it's at!!

If you asked me which coach I'd rather be a lifer I'd say Bucky.
Bucky is 100% the man. It's become more obvious that he doesn't have his guys just yet, but wait until he gets them and we're gonna be really good.
It's amazing that we're in the middle of February talking about coin flip tournament matchups when Bucky had exactly one player (a walk on) the day he started the job. The fact that we're even discussing the tournament is amazing!
