Do we get that win back? He was surely responsible for more than 4 points in our game… such bull **** that they got to record conference wins with an ineligible player

They should lose any game that they won when he played. He was an ineligible player all along.

Makes perfect sense, which is probably why nobody else will see it that way

I thought this would happen but the judge wanted him to play against Auburn first while he waited to make a decision!

NCAA said he was ineligible from the beginning and Sankey was in favor of NCAA ruling.
Norm here for NCAA is they will forfeit wins.

Unfortunately, opponents are stuck with (or get to keep) the results as they are.

Be interested to see if they are ineligible for post season since they knew they were playing an ineligible player.

Of course it will. In fact they'll count it heavier since Bama had to overcome playing with an ineligible player

When I was in hs in the 80's our district had Bryan, Killeen, Temple etc. The Killeen Kangaroos were one of the top teams in the nation and easily in 1st place in district.

The twins (The Webb Brothers) were simply incredible, but late in the season rules academically ineligible and had to forfeit all the games they played in.

Bryan HS goes from 3rd to 2nd in district. Makes the playoffs. Wins state. Yeah the district was that good.

Seriously this is illegal behavior. Stanky won't do **** about it either. F the SEC.

That punk played in I believe 4 SEC games. All 4 Bama should be losses automatically.

Arkie buddy saying "he was eligible when he played A&M".

Hey dumbass, how was he eligible when he was JUST deemed ineligible to play?

We always went to the state final four since I lived in Austin. Bryan HS won the year prior as well. Just a freak of a team.

Sankey will have to come up with an equitable plan for all teams involved. Therefore, Auburn will be awarded a win and Alabama a loss for that game while the results of the A&M game will stand.

There has to be some sort of punishment for blatantly disregarding the rules. Sad it takes a court of law to get that program to do the right thing.

He clearly wasn't ruled eligible to play and Oats played him anyway. There has to be a consequence on that.

He was ineligible, Bama filed a temporary restraining order on Jan 26, then ruled ineligible today. Sorry but he shouldn't have been allowed to play one second.

The Bama wins may eventually be "vacated" but they won't count as forfeits. This sort of thing happens all the time in all leagues across all sports. It even happened to A&M several years ago. "Touchdown" Tiki Hardeman was academically ineligible, but we played him anyway. He scored 3 TDs against Louisiana Tech, I believe, and the Ags won something like 28-7. Granted, all 3 of his TD runs were 3 yards or less, but still...we knowingly played an ineligible player so we later had to "vacate" the win. All of the official scorebooks still show an A&M victory, so ultimately nothing happened to us.

Sammy Morris at tech was a similar situation. He scored the game winning TD against us at Kyle field then a few days later (coincidentally, of course...wink...wink...) tech revealed he had a GPA similar to Blutarski from Animal House.

Is Agee also playing under a temporary restraining order? If so, do we know that they aren't going to review his case during the season?

Not a lawyer but just because a Bama judge gave them a temporary restraining order, wouldn't this fall back on the league to decide what to do?

He had a 0.0, for real. That's different because nobody knew his GPA. This one was clearly a pro player coming back against NCAA rules and Bama needed him for some games and filed a restraining order knowing full well he wouldn't be allowed to.

Do not fall for the false equivalency spewing from tuscaloosa. Agee's ruling was about when his clock started running. Nothing about Agee's case is even similar to Bediako.

Which HS? I was at Bryan. I think that was our second title. Those kids were huge but massively (pun intended) uncoordinated.

That Viking team absolutely played Bucky Ball 40 years ago. Ok. No 3 points. our starting guards (DRhodes and Spot) were both about 5'9 but could dunk. Our center my sophomore year was Rod Bernstine (6'4) and Kenny Keller who played at Tech but only at 6'7. Full court press. Run run run.

Tech knew his GPA and played him anyway. Different in that it wasn't an ineligible pro player, but both schools knew what they were doing was wrong and they played the athlete anyway. I get that it's not an exact apples to apples comparison, but they are similar in that both schools manipulated the system to get a star athlete into the games.
