guessing we aren't a basketball school either but as long as we beat tu, which we did - everything is ok
So what was your expectations for this year?
my expectation for this year has been wonderfully exceeded, I didn't think we'd be at .500 after 8 games..however, i expected a collapse as soon as we were 7-1
Not meaning to open a can of worms, but it's easy to come on a board and say you "expected a collapse as soon as we were 7-1" Feb 14th. Why didn't you post it in November, December and/or January? I see you didn't agree with the hire by your previous posts. Below are your two previous posts regarding Men's Basketball. But why didn't you come on each week at the start of the season and predict failure.
I understand, it is still too early in Bucky's tenure here at TAMU. To hire Bucky based on last year's record was a stretch. HOWEVER, he was the last hire of all the BIG SCHOOLS, and well into the portal play. This took
HUGE B@!!S from Trev Alberts. But from your previous posts, there was no hope/trust/belief that he even had a clue, nor should we have given him the chance. Again, it's still early and you may in fact be correct; HOWEVER, for you to come on here in February and state you knew failure was to happen, in hindsight I believe you probably should have thought before you posted, let's let it play out.
I believe Bucky and the players probably realize they're playing with borrowed money. However, I believe they've instilled a little hope/trust/belief in Aggie fans/alumni, given the circumstances.
Again, let's let it play out. I personally believe Bucky's system will work here and will grow roots in the current PORTAL atmosphere as I believe players (on other teams) want to play at a place where they can shoot without a conscience and score points.
When your tallest post player is six (6) inches shorter than, say at least three dudes in the opponent's lineup before the initial jump-ball, you should be the underdog and probably expect the worst. However, we have a legitimate chance to get into the NCAA--THIS, after only have what, one man on the roster when buzz left and Bucky was hire.

Still trying to figure out why this person was hired?
His career win loss record at a small school - "Samford" was 99 and 52.
Does that make him a genius hire?
That is 50 losses for every 100 wins at "Samford" (not Duke) and that's if you give him a win and take away two losses .
Just think what he can do in a much more competitive conference!
Last year at "Samford", the team he was the head coach of didn't make the NCAA Tournament and was a first game loser in the NIT tournament.
Now this year, he wakes up after a year like that and instead of a hotseat at "Samford" the guy is given a much more lucrative upward job undoubtedly for more money at an SEC school.
I don't need to say it because the BOR is so dense, but you know they gave him a "guaranteed" contract too.
What could go wrong, I'm sure that unlike his MOST RECENT resulting year's win/loss record at a small school in an abstract conference, that he will make "Bucky Ball" a household name by not turning Samford around but rather miraculously turning Texas A&M basketball into a juggernaut and winning the SEC championship and going very deep into the NCAA Tournament thereby bypassing the more difficult NIT Tournament that he got kicked out of last year.

No, this reply post is really much more dumb because you obviously can't comprehend that mighty Samford was NOT built into a powerhouse and you refute nothing I posted.
Perhaps you could comment on the success of Bucky's most recent year at Samford where they/he didn't even make the NCAA tournament? Most likely you are actually the wife or partner of a BOR guaranteed contract provider.
