Game Preview
DUUUUUUUVAAAAAAAL! Bring on the Jacksonville Dolphins! The Dolphins out of the ASUN come to Aggieland to face the Aggies who haven't had a home game in nearly 3 weeks. The Aggie left Reed Arena to face a trio of ACC teams in Florida State, Pitt, and SMU, winning all but the last one.
The Aggies after a week off, return to action at home and look to get back on track after a heartbreak and head scratching loss to SMU. A game that saw us behind most of it until the Aggies went on a huge run to close out the game. Up 4 with 50 seconds left and the ball, the Aggies would go to turn the ball over 4 more times including two careless passes. We'd then fall apart in overtime and lose.
A week off was well needed and hopefully just what the doctor ordered; for the team, but more importantly for us. We have 3 more games before non conference. 3 easy games to get our confidence back and get rolling before conference play.
We should come out with an easy win here. We shot poorly early on against SMU and dug ourselves a hole. Prior to that we had been playing really well offensively. We were moving the ball efficiently. Our current outlook and confidence would be a stark opposite had we closed out the SMU game, but right now all we can do is take care what's ahead of us.
Jacksonville has only played one power 4 opponent and lost by 17 to Miami. Two of their wins were against the Trinity College of Florida and the Trinity College of Jacksonville. They do have some height on their roster, but our pace should overwhelm them. After Jacksonville we have another week off till our next game against East Texas A&M.
