Watched his introductory event and media press conference, this dude walks, talks, and I'm guessing lives like a winner. Things are about to get fun in Reed!

Buzz left him with basically nothing, so I bet even the best coaches in the game would struggle to look good next year. But by year 2 I think he'll have a fun team to watch and year 3 I think most people are going to be bought in.

This guy 100% looks like one of the next great college basketball coaches, well done Trev Alberts.

The roster is a problem but it was going to be a problem If BW came back

Hopefully he finds a few guys that fit his system and can survive SEC play

Early returns are promising but he hasn't won anything here. Let's take an optimistic wait and see.

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!!

I wanted to post a new thread suggesting that all hoop fans watch his presser.

Most impressive coaching introduction interview I have ever witnessed BY FAR.

I am so pumped and wanna run through a wall for this guy.

I truly believe we found a Hall of Fame NCAA coach.

Biggest question is? Can we keep him here!

And all your younger gen fans, keep your cool. Bucky has been dealt really, really terrible recruiting cards.

Year 1 vs Year 2.....will be totally different.

yeah as an old ag it is heartwarming to see his confidence and desire to succeed and he is definitely contagious with his optimism

I loved how he mentioned that the reward in the end is even greater if it is shared by all those that bought into it in the beginning and had to deal with the lowpoints. And he definitely embraced the money side of it with NIL saying the resources we had could possibly be second to none. This was a great reason he accepted the job and listening to his AD and Mitch Cole who had told him how great Aggieland is.

Definitely excited for the fast pace full court 40 minutes of hell Nolan Richardson type offense we will be running.

It would be interesting to go back to all of the new coach announcement threads and see the excitement from this board. I feel like it is all pretty much the same. Not saying Bucky can't deliver on his promises, but all hires come with the same excitement. Also, for the last week, Trev has been bashed at how others perceived his handling of this hire, but now we are praising the job he did.

I'm excited to watch him build a program.

I found it hilarious he did not mention that small secular school in Austin. When using his Auburn-Bama analogies when it got to this state he said "in-state rivalries". I like it.

Nothing new. This is how we feel about all our incoming coaches.

Pretty much. Most have not attained the success the fan base would have hoped. Very few have... Schloss... BCG...Sumlin for 1 season... Jimbo for 1 season... That's about it for 25 years.

I mean, we have no idea how this hire will work out. May be great. May be horrible. We have to wait a couple of years to find out.

All major 3 sports should be in the conversation for the National Championship every year. If Tennessee can do it, why can't we? We have more resources, are a larger university, have a larger alumni population, etc. Baseball - NC, Football - CFP, Basketball - 2 straight Elite 8's. They did all that in 1 year. We haven't sniffed the NC in any major 3 sport since 1939... except for last year in Baseball.

Yet, the Aggie fan base despite results ...... Aggie fans are a bunch of Pollyannas.

Regarding nothing to work with, Baylor is down to one returning player and maybe none. Does Scott Drew have nothing to work with? NIL, Samford players, returnees, etc.
definitely takes patience. Few coaches come in hot like Pitino did at St John's.

zoo, I think it boils down to the doofusses picking our AD and coaches. I mean the people with pull at A&M who really are not good in depth evaluators of sports and coaches. The ones who react to a program who may be having some success and go after that HC only to find out that maybe he wasn't the reason for the team's success. i.e Fran. The TCU defensive coach was the real deal, not Fran. Jimbo. Their were people who wanted Richt to be our HC. Look at the disaster he became.

Yep, there are a bunch of doofuses who make coaching decisions. And I'm not saying Bucky won't succeed. There's just not a good track record with Texas A&M athletics. But the fans keep on spending $$, sooooo…..
