Buzz complained that the support & enthusiasm was lacking.
After our swing & miss yesterday, whomever we hire there might actually be less enthusiasm than what Buzz b'th'd about

Regardless he's gone it's all about the hire young, old, retread, asst if it's the right fit it will work. Got to be engaging which buzz is not. His style of play is boring and not fan friendly.

Was that buzz or Turgeon or BCG? Get confused…

Do all schools fight their coaches as much as we seem to do? Seems sort of routine for an Aggie coach to complain about support or facilities or fan attitudes or whatever all while sitting in one of the wealthiest athletic programs in the country.

BCG was doing big things with what had been a very terrible program. Understandable for him to want more since he earned it.

Turge was just a blow hard and never would be happy..

Buzz leaves everywhere and spent more time reading books than whining.

However, we do need an athletic department that keeps coaches in check and has them know who they work for... it was a big problem with Jimbo and we need to have a better run administration above our sell sword coaches

Buzz just wanted the support and enthusiasm to be given. He didn't want to go out and work for it off the court and drum it up. The basketball coach at A&M needs to be on campus and in the community drumming up excitement and pushing for NIL

This is the culture problem that exists at Texas A&M. Revolving door at president and athletic directors paired with meddling TMF/BMAs

This is the funny part of how the internet poster behaves.

You want wealthy boosters to massively fund NIL, but call it "meddling" when they want to have significant say in how things are done.

What exactly do those funding this silliness get out of it other than the opportunity to"meddle".

Then this is described as a culture problem as if these donors should just send their check and shut their mouth. Not the way it's going to work here, or anywhere else.

I guess I didn't say it very well. What I meant to say is that we have a revolving door at leadership. You add to this meddling by the TMF/BMAs , and its a tough place to coach and be successful long-term.

We have wandered the desert for the better part of the last 55 years or so that I have closely followed and supported the Ags. We have changed coaches, players, ADs, conferences, stadiums, and on and on, yet the malaise remains. There is some sort of culture problem and I have come to think that it lies with the big wigs and leadership of our university and athletic programs.

I don't. I never thought we could get a big name.

Didn't we set a average game attendance record this year? How's that not support and enthusiasm? I was a 1 year season ticket holder and the support and enthusiasm seemed there.

For the common fan Buzz's brand of basketball is pretty damn boring.

I don't even think boring was the right word. It was frustrating. It wasn't like we played passive defense like a Kennedy team (or famously Tony Bennett's Virginia teams.) That is boring.

But watching a team just chunk up bricks is not a great time.
