Yes, I deny that. It's stupid. This is as much my school as it is yours. I don't agree with you that "real Aggies" have to shut up and continue to eat the **** sandwich that our leadership keeps feeding us with no criticism, questioning or push back whatsoever. It's been that way for 100 years with literally nothing to show for it.
If you want to continue to be a good little Ag and support this complete disaster of an athletics program, then go ahead. But don't chastise others who are tired of it and are using their (admittedly) very small voice to rabble rouse and hopefully start to get things changed.
I don't see how a single competent person can look at our three major sports right now and not be in a panic. It is really, really bad.
How do you know it's stupid? Your account has been active for less than a month. So other than your anonymous word, there's nothing to indicate that you are a graduate of A&M.
No one says you have to "shut up and... no criticism". However, you're making blanket assertions - easily refutable, I might add - that attack the entire program. A troll potbanger, as it were.
If you are a graduate of A&M, you must be really young, as you seem to be so willing to pass judgement on Elko after his one year in the program. Feel fortunate to not have lived or paying attention through any of the tenures prior to Elko, because after 1 year, Elko's record (.615) is better than the entire tenures of Sherman (.500), Fran (.533) & Wilson (.525), and is within 5 percentage points of Fisher (.643), Sherill (.648), and Bellard (.640). Only Sumlin (.677) & Slocum (.721) have significantly better lifetime results than Elko's first year.
By the way, that also blows out the entire tenure's record of tu's Strong, Mackovic & McWilliams.
So as a competent person, I have a hard time looking at your blanket assertion regarding football that it is a complete disaster and remotely taking it seriously. So show your work. Convince us that football is an unmitigatble disaster moving forward.
And as for basketball, the fact that Buzz has the same happy feet that he has demostrated for his prior two stops has no bearing at all upon the overall state of the basketball program, so imo you're just banging pots to hear yourself make noise.
Finally, for baseball, I am dumbfounded by the early start of this team, and if Earley doesn't right the ship, we'll adjust. But to say that the hiring of Earley is sententing the program to obscurity is asinine.
So, it's not at all that bad. Could it be better? Sure, but that goes for every college program sans about 3 or 4.
Enjoy your day.
