this team is one of the most experienced in the country and as a result they hit the ground running. i think they pretty well maximize their talent so i can't fault them for that. as far as effort, it always seems good. so...
1) they hit the maximization of their talent early due to experience. the downside is their talent isn't that great and they had no real upside. they shoot about like Kid Shelleen. as younger teams have developed over the course of the year, the experience edge is minimized.
2) having to play at max effort, i think they might be running out of gas. at the very least, there is no "next gear" to go to in the playoffs.
3) they were very good early in conference at pulling out the games in clutch situations. that is great but the law of averages typically catches up with teams like that.
i like them as a group of kids and i think they have high character compared to most rosters but i think we've seen the best of what they've got... and the last four would indicate that is not near enough to make any noise in the post-season... same old, same old.
