Well we're in the home stretch now with some heavy hitters in our last three regular season games. This is another tough road game before we come back home to face Auburn. Florida has good guard play and some athletic bigs that can also stretch the floor and they move the ball well. They are well coached and make good in game adjustments.

Florida is coming off a loss to Georgia where they were down 26 points in the first half. They came all the way back to take the lead with around a minute left before coming up short at the end. I'm sure that Todd Golden will have them ready at home for the Aggies but I expect us to compete. It's time to end the skid at 3 games.

Florida is a 1 or 2 seed at this point, but can obviously be defeated.

In addition to the loss to Georgia in their last game they were blown out by Tennessee a few weeks back in Knoxville - and have been beaten on their home court by Missouri in a close one. A few other teams have played them close as well - so, a victory in Gainesville is not impossible for our Ags!

I like our ability to get to the foul line and to make them over the last couple of games. We need to keep that up.

But we also need to recognize and shut down any hot three-point Gator shooter (something we obviously failed to do against both Tennessee and Vandy at Reed) while making at least one third of our own three-point attempts.

We should get the ball to Payne early and often for the close in shot and get him to find open perimeter shooters when he is inevitably double and triple teamed in the paint.

Finally, all MUST take better care of the ball (especially Taylor and Phelps).

If we keep our turnovers to single digits in the game and at least match the Gators on the glass, I think we can win the game outright and get back to being considered as a 3 seed.

I imagine if we're going to pull this off it's going to be a classic mad creep style. Just stay in the fight and try to steal it at the end.

nah this would be more 'punching' (above your weight), LSU could qualify as a slumpbuster

A slumpbuster is a gregarious fatty who you hook up with because you haven't been doing well in the scene.

Will be mildly surprised if Florida doesn't cover and this may even be an 'A&M didn't hit rock bottom yet, but now it is' game where we get pretty definitively blown out. Don't like anything about this matchup.

The only thing I kinda like is Florida maybe experimenting with their lineups some and losing some rhythm because of it. Otherwise, yeah.
