He's gotta coach some offense at some point. 5-30 from 3 is downright atrocious. I mean….at some point, you stop shooting. We're not those guys, pal. Feels like we've steadily gone away from what we were doing earlier this season.

P.S. I like Buzz but this is frustrating

Great game tho. This is Buzz's ceiling.

We were in the bonus with like 13 min and shot 95% from the FT line. Our answer was to jack 3s. uT had a midget drive into the lane and draw fouls.

We didn't shoot very many 3s in the last 10 minutes until we got behind. I bet it was less than 5. Our issue was losing guys on the perimeter and giving up offensive rebounds.

He's incapable. If Buzz knew a lick of x's and o's we wouldn't still have this ugly of an offense this far into his tenure.

Buzz wins by making the game ugly and winning in the mud. Can't win any other way.

The 3s were terrible because the shot selection was terrible.

If Wade is going to Jack 3s hoping to draw the foul, he's not gonna make them if he doesn't get fouled.

It's insane. We could give the average Texags poster 30 shots and get more than 5 makes. I don't know how coach doesn't call timeout and tell them to stop jacking threes

In a game setting, no chance an average poster here is hitting 5/30.

We're going to live with Wade taking those shots. It's the Solo and Carter 3s that we have to tell them to not shoot. And preferably Phelps is only taking ~3 a game, not 7.

Good looks by bad shooters aren't good looks. At 0-5, Wade took four more awful shots so they weren't all good looks.

Shot selection, shot to shot, was fine. We weren't jacking up wild, double-covered 3s or having guys that never shoot take them. Based on what we've been doing all year, it was about right.

It's the volume that is unacceptable. We are a bad 3pt shooting team, period, so to take more than 50% of our shots from 3 is idiotic, especially when we were cold from the jump. It's a losing recipe against even a solid team.

Method Man I respect your takes. Why does Buzz let Wade get away with those ill advise shots? He needs to start coaching and quit being his buddy. Wade shot selection is atrocious. Did you see Hubbard or Zigler take a bad shot? They are both better than Wade in my opinion. But it;s not because of talent its how they play the game. They play it under control and not frantic like Wade does.

At some point, you have to have a guy or two who can get you a bucket in crunch time. We have zero of those guys.

Our 3 point defense is not good if you are leaving guys wide ass open.

In the tournament, you have to have some guys who can get you a bucket. We don't have any.

It's why Buzz has only won 1 game in the tournament in his tenure here.

I haven't watched enough games this year to say with confidence, but with the ones I've watched Wade has seemed to regress this year.

He's not demanding the ball. He's playing off the ball this year, deferring to teammates way more than last year, and not getting as many calls as years past. He's one of those guys that thrives WITHIN the action. And this year, for large parts of games, he's not much in the action. So he never gets himself going. And when he doesn't get going early, he settles on trying to heave a bad shot from deep to play catch up. When that doesn't go in, he starts pressing even more.

Buzz has settled on his plan of tough D, make more free throws than the other team takes, and rebound rebound rebound. He has his analytics that says this is the way. As long as his analytics are good, I don't think he worries about the 3 point shooting.

It has some what worked for him, but as we play better and better teams or teams that are also "tough", the bad shooting really starts to be a key issue to not winning.

This team needs at least 1 one legit shooter and ideally 2
I would argue we have two. One plays a couple minutes here or there. The other is streaky. But part of the problem with Wade being streaky, is that Buzz doesn't have the x's and o'x ability to scheme him open. So the majority of Wade's shots are ISO 3's.

Buzz lives with bad Wade shots from time to time because 1. He makes them at times and 2. It's predictable and we rebound 40% of our misses

I thought he only took one "wtf" three today. He had one early he got fouled on they no-called and then the last one was just a high level defensive play by Ziegler

He had multiple good looks that just wouldn't go in. I'll still take him shooting them all day long

We're not winning many tourney games of significance without making more shots.
Expecting better shooting % from 3 isn't unreasonable.

I think bobinator is right. Wade has been figured out, at least in the SEC. Teams don't make any defensive adjustments to account for him like they used to. And now Wade often looks uncomfortable in the (mom existent) offensive gameplan.
