Auburn is a great team woh could beat us solid, or we could rise up in our final home game- could yell us what we're capable of, but thats it.

FL tough road game where a solid loss is not necessarily a harbinger.

Vandy (good team) and @ LSU should be wins which wont tell us that much.

TN- THIS has all the attributes of an NCAA tourney must win.

Grest opponent. Big Stakes (a 1 or 2 seed could ultimately be on the line). Healthy lineups (disregarding UT's JP Estrella out since November) Even
ranked teams and seeds. familiar coaches.

I agree a loss at Florida doesn't mean much. But if we win at Florida that tells you a lot about this team and makes huge statement.

Yeah I'm not sure I agree. If this game is a close win or loss I'm not sure what that tells us that we didn't already know. Even if we blow them out I'm not sure it means much, we blew them out a year ago and then immediately went into a five game tailspin.

Now if we get blown out that probably tells us something.

That's where i was going- after our big loss to MSSt if we had big loss here, we'd know this team isnt where or who they need to be.

OTOH, a big win or a close win or a close loss probably affirms this team IS truly a 2 seed at least- so thats where i depart from your thinking.

We didn't beat a no. 6 team in a rock fight at home. You won't play a team this good for at least 2 games in the tourney. And, I'll take my chances at whoever is next if we can win those. If we don't , THEN we'll know what kind of team we have.

I think we can see we are NOT a conference or national championship contender. Maybe a sweet 16 type team.

Comparing the two:

1. Barnes found ways to get his hot hands open looks. when we finally started figuring out hiw to slow them down, he altered their plan and sprung them open.

2. They kept our big men out of the game as far as scoring threat. So much so that Barnes went to a SMALL lineup and Buzz still couldnt fgure out how to make them pay.

3. Their front line was vulnerable depth wise, yet Buzz couldnt figure out hiw to get the rock to the paint to challenge them. We played into their hands by jacking 3s when our advantage was completely on the inside- not the out.

These are just a few, but they highlight the complete school that Barnes was running on Buzz.

It was ugly!

If a 1 score game under a minute to go against a top 5 team is our ugly, we are really ****ing good

Which has been my assumption all season long. With the right matchups in the tourney, maybe an Elite 8 appearance. Even with "only" a S16 appearance that means this will be one of our best seasons in program history. But after 2 losses to top 25 teams, half our fan base has given up and is ready to move onto baseball/football. It is maddening.

We were a one score game against OU and tu too.

We are kind of a one score game kind of team.

They went "small" because all their bigs had 4 fouls with over 10 minutes to go in the game.....
