Yeah I love these kinds of convos/debates.

I think basketball needs some new ideas. The ends of games is just a brutal watch if you're not already a fan of the game.

Yes. A basketball game should not be longer than 2 hours. At the last game I came up with an idea to fix basketball:

Two 50-minute halves with a 20-minute half time.

But here's the thing. The clock doesn't stop (except for maybe a major injury). Timeouts, commercial breaks, ball out of bounds, free throws, reviews... the clock just keeps rolling.

Problem solved. All games will be 2 hours.

Hell yeah, imagine the drama of March Madness ending on a shot clock violation and the defensive team not being able to inbound the ball in time to get a shot attempt. That's definitely the sport people want.
