Interested in going to the SEC tourney with my 11 year old son. Any tips? Tickets, restaurants, hotel suggestions, etc. looking to make the most of it if we go. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

We probably should get a consolidated thread going. I've seen 1-2 others asking for advice. It's a great event. We went last year for the first time.

We stayed at the Burnham building , which is all AirBNBs I think. It is about 2-3 blocks from Bridgestone Arena. The Bridgestone/Broadway area is very walkable.

I think the team stayed at the Renaissance hotel. After the UK game, we randomly ran into Wade's family and they invited us to come celebrate the team arriving back at the hotel.

There are a ton of hotels in the area. I'm not sure I'd recommend the Burnham.

We got our tickets through 12th man, so it was a ticket to every game. I can't speak about trying to scalp tickets to games.

Bourbon Steak was the only fancy place we ate at. It was great. Monell's is kind of a cool place to eat. Southern food served family style. So you sit at a big table with randos. Kind of interesting to meet and talk with different people.

Did the 12MF send out requests to the season ticket holders ? I don't recall seeing anything

I just checked my email. I got an email from 12th man on January 6. The deadline to request tickets through them was January 16 (for me at least). I wonder if we sold out our allotment?
