The game announcers just said that the underarm patterns are based on slave quilts or something and that the general design was based on a Lusia Harris jersey.

Most of you guys are lame wannabe comedians or get your rocks being negative. The Old School maroon Block T and throwback design looks sharp. Remember, we owned and used that stand-alone Block T way before the Austin brothers did. Own it. Gigem.

I actually liked them better in game. But they would have looked way better with AggTies or Texas A&M across the front instead of the tiny block T.

Just a guess… those are all Adidas schools.

Adidas pays A&M a significant sum in sponsorship, so I'm guessing they are the ones driving the uniform decisions.

Absolutely they would. They and the coaches are presented with design concepts and select the ones they like. Those things are not done in a vacuum.
