Why a 3 instead of driving for a 2? I suppose Wade has had a few 2s blocked and Mizzou was probably packing
the paint. Add our offensive rebounding maybe?

I think the more interesting point was that the play design was for Andy. If the play materialized as it was drawn up and Andy missed the finish without Wade or Payne getting an attempt, Buzz would be getting slaughtered on here.

Andy probably has the best handles of the guys on our team other defenses would let drive, so I'm assuming we were thinking Andy might get a lane and everyone else crashes for the rebound.

With only 10 seconds left, we would have had to get the ball to Payne near or going toward the basket, him methodically backing down his guy wasn't going to be an option.

(Thats just my guesses)

i was pleading for Taylor NOT to touch the ball there. great shot but i believe it was a horrible strategy if that was the shot we were going for. you got Phelps and Payne reeling them and only need 1 free throw and draw a plan for a THREE?????

Letting the guy who is most hesitant to shoot have the winning shot is a bold strategy for sure. Great pass to Taylor. He is definitely not afraid to shoot.

Don't care. Great win. The guy who took the shot was the right guy. Missouri is a legit team and our offense went into sleep mode for ten mins but they found a way.
